    We had a wonderful dinner here.  This is certainly the nicest and fanciest restaurant in Morro Bay.  Although you don't need to dress up, and people do not, it feels like it would be a place for a prom date or coat and tie special occasion.

    The views of the harbor and the rock are great.  You are up on a ridge that parallels the harbor so you are high enough to have an unobstructed view.  Window seats are at a premium, but even in the interior you get the views.

    They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, so it is an all-day operation.  

    Excellent service and servers.  Yes, you should make a reservation as it is popular.  Although it is a seafood area, Dorn's menu covers more than seafood.  Wife is not a seafood eater and she had no problem getting good things to eat and enjoy.  Steak, chicken and pasta dishes are very good.

    I liked the raw oysters, wife liked the artichokes.  Grand children liked the kid's menu and did their thing their way.  No problems.

    We split a nice big salad, which could have been an entree by itself. I did a special of a whole grilled fish and wife had a steak, which she said was very good and tender.

    Full bar and decent wine list.  Put Dorn's on your list while in the area.  Very relaxing and their prices will not kill you.

    Lovely views and a terrific dinner! 4 of us were traveling through Morro Bay for the night and our hotel recommended Dorn's and I'm so happy they did, it was great!
    The views are lovely and the restaurant interior let's you know it's been in business a while but it was comfortable and the staff were friendly. 3 of our 4 meals were DELICIOUS - the pasta was sub-par - lots of butter and no flavor, a bit disappointing. However, the sauteed scallops were out of this world!! The BEST scallops I have ever had - full of flavor, cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth delicious. The blackened salmon and seared ahi were a hit as well. Our server was fine, not overly attentive but fine.
    I can't wait for our next trip to Morro Bay for more of those scallops!!

    Amazing food, amazing prices and good workers

    Dorns has been there for 20 years and has an amazing manager and staff and the food and bar is amazing especially there clam chowder and Cobb salad are amazing and there fresh fish is awesome.

    Great place by water in Moro Bay. Might have had a few more servers. Food was goo. Great ambiance

    Great food, great views, great service!!!  The fish and chips were yummy and so were the fryed oysters.  Good value and large portions
